Details of the Event/Activity:

I recently participated in the online course "Cyber Security by Packethacks Education for the IT Professional" offered on the Cursa app. The course provided an in-depth understanding of TCP/IP and network security, using visual aids to simplify complex concepts for visual learners.

 

Reflections on the Webinar/Activity and Learnings:

The course was structured effectively, beginning with the basics of TCP/IP and progressing to advanced network security topics. It covered essential areas such as data transmission, packet switching, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods. The visual aids, including diagrams and animations, were particularly helpful in making abstract concepts more tangible and easier to understand.

 

Reflections on Possibilities for Practical Application of Learning:

The practical demonstrations provided in the course were immensely beneficial. I now feel equipped to apply the knowledge gained to real-world scenarios, such as setting up and configuring firewalls, implementing encryption protocols, and enhancing overall network security. This practical application is crucial for my role as an IT professional, and I am confident in my ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities in my organization.

 

Suggestions for Improvements to be Made/Consider for Future Activities:

While the course was comprehensive and well-structured, it could benefit from more interactive elements. Including interactive simulations could enhance engagement and help reinforce the material. Additionally, providing case studies of real-world cyber attacks and how they were handled could offer deeper insights into practical applications of the concepts learned.

 

 

 

Positive Feedback on the Event Organization:

The organization of the course was excellent. The content was logically sequenced, and the use of visual aids greatly facilitated understanding. The explanations were clear and concise, making even the most complex topics accessible. The course platform, Cursa app, was user-friendly and provided a seamless learning experience.

 

Suggestions for Improvements to be Made/Consider for Future Activities:

To further improve the course, I suggest incorporating a discussion forum or a Q&A section where participants can interact with instructors and peers. This would allow for the exchange of ideas and clarification of doubts in real-time. Additionally, offering a certificate upon completion would add value and recognition for participants' efforts.

  E xperiences and Lessons Learned in Work Environment My OJT was at Angel C Manglicmot High School in Brgy. Angeles San Antonio Zambales. At first, I was scared and thrilled, and it was difficult for me to engage with them since it was work from home. To think about it, they were professionals, and I was just a student trainee, and I couldn't interact with them effectively over internet. After the training, I realized that OJT is more than simply a need to be fulfilled; it is also an opportunity to demonstrate my abilities, knowledge, and talents, as well as to experience the sense of being a professional.
